Entrepreneur-superstar-skydiver Ingrid Vanderveldt was a recent guest on our show, but was also in our studio audience when Dr. Judea Pearl was our special guest.  She had this to say about her experiences:

I had heard of Peter Himmelman from one of my producers, Lyn Graft (LG Pictures).  He had seen Peter and SXSW and told me “you HAVE to meet this guy.  He is extraordinary and I know you two are going to TOTALLY hit it off.”.  When Lyn says anything like that?  I listen

Shortly thereafter, I had the chance to meet Peter and yes- he is extraordinary and so is his crew.  I can’t even remember the first meeting!- It feels like I have been friends for life- but in reality, I am sure its been less than a year.  Peter has that ability- to just make everyone he is around- feel like the most important person in the room.

In any case- I have to admit- that meeting Peter and watching his show live for the first time, was a life changing experience for me.  I realize this sounds dramatic- but I would love to share with you why.

Yet- here I was, sitting with this incredibly loving man, who was on Peter’s show as a fan (Peter was one of Daniel’s favorite musicians) and to promote Daniel Pearl World Music Days.  Since its founding in 2002- DPWMD’s has grown to over 4,900 performers in over 100 countries.  He was also there to talk about the life and legacy of his son.

In that moment- of watching Judea and Peter interact- I realized that here are two people who are both changing the world for good who had been connected through the tragedy of losing Daniel.  I realized that from that day forward- that as an entrepreneur and who encourages other people to also follow their passion creating a life and a living doing what they love- that NO ONE had an excuse NOT to make their dream happen.  That if, in Judea’s case- he could create an event that had grown to a global movement in the Daniel Pearl World Music Days out of the horrific tragedy of his son’s death- that NONE OF US have ANY excuse NOT to do what it is we believe in.

That experience also reiterated my belief on how one person, with a clear vision, can change the world for good.

So when it was my turn to go on Furious World- I just really sat in TOTAL appreciation of all these people who have come together to create this show that is loved by so many and inspires us all.  I loved being able to talk about, and answer questions about making entrepreneurial dreams happen (especially the super creative ones!)- because at the end of the day- ANYTHING is possible…and as Judea Pearl continues to show us- its possible to create world peace and joy even out of the most trying of circumstances.

For all this- I will always be grateful and feel deep love to Peter and the crew for creating such a wonderful show and bringing all of us together- in peace and love.  So with that- GO MAKE YOUR DREAM HAPPEN.  You owe it to yourself and to the world to let your light and your talent shine.  We want to see it and in that- I can’t wait to see you too!- on Furious World
