Tomorrow we’re excited to have the musician and producer Joe Henry on the Furious World! He has over two decades of experience as a solo artist, and is also a Grammy-winning producer. Joe has worked with artists such as Elvis Costello, Madonna, and Ani DiFranco. His latest release, “Blood from Stars”, came out in August; you can listen to the album here.
We also have a few other guest musicians tomorrow… word is that Eric Heywood, previous guest of our show, is back from tour and will be sitting in on some tunes. So grab your popcorn, pull up a chair, and invite your friends over to watch the show!
In other news, Peter’s new webcast for kids was launched yesterday! You can check it out at http://thecuriousworld.com.
Tomorrow’s guest- Sandra Tsing Loh
by daniel on Sep.21, 2009, under Furious World Announcement, Furious World Guests

We’re excited to have Sandra Tsing Loh as our guest tomorrow! I myself am an NPR junkie, so I’ve heard her on the radio many times. She writes/records the daily segment “The Loh Down On Science” and the weekly segment “The Loh Life”.
Sandra has a number of books out, including A Year In Van Nuys, Aliens in America, Depth Takes A Holiday, and the novel If You Lived Here, You’d Be Home By Now. The latter novel was named one of the 100 best books of 1998 by the Los Angeles Times.
On top of being a writer, she also performs her own solo shows, including “Mother On Fire”, “Sugar Plum Fairy”, “I Worry”, “Aliens In America”, and “Bad Sex With Bud Kemp”.

Our guest this week is Larry Klein, bassist and producer- he’s worked with big names such as Herbie Hancock, Joni Mitchell, Norah Jones, Leonard Cohen, Bobby McFerrin, Neil Diamond and previous Furious guest Rebecca Pidgeon.
Larry started his career touring with jazz and Latin groups while a college student; he then moved into recording sessions, playing bass and collaborating with groundbreaking rock musicians.
Following very successful collaborations with Joni Mitchel, Larry became known as a a simpatico producer of female singer-songwriters.
Upcoming projects include another album with Herbie Hancock! Klein recently signed a label deal with Verve Records; he and his wife Luciana Souza have a son named Noah.

Tomorrow’s guest will be the band Paging Beto, a blues/rock band based here in LA. As an appetizer, they’ve got some great music up on their myspace page! We’re looking forward to having them in the studio tomorrow night.
