This week we’re welcoming Trevor Hall to our studio!  Trevor Hall is a talented musician who signed his first record deal with Geffen Records during his senior year of high school. He has toured with many artists including: Steel Pulse, The Wailers, Matisyahu, Stevie Nicks, Ben Harper, Colbie Callait, Los Lobos, Ziggy Marley, Rusted Root, and many others.

Trevor has a great accoustic rock sound that fans of Peter Himmelman will be sure to enjoy.  He’ll be stopping by the Furious World as part of a tour around LA this week.  For more info and some great music, check out his myspace page!

We’re excited to bring you Robert Scoble on the Furious World tomorrow night!  He’s a huge name in the internet/tech community; he’s often called a “technical evangelist”, but is also a well-known blogger and author.  He’ll be talking about how recent events in Iran are being shaped by internet tools such as Twitter and Facebook.

Also tomorrow night- Peter sits next to some interesting people on an airplane in “Phantoms of the 405″; we’ve also got Bruce Warren bringin’ another great band to listen to.  Don’t forget to stay tuned for some wise words from King Ferdinand, and we’ve also got a great cigar commerecial that is about 40 years old.  And don’t forget some killer tunes from Peter Himmelman and the band!

We’re pleased to have Dr. Judea Pearl on the show tomorrow!  He’s a computer scientist, a philosopher, and a professor at UCLA; Judea is also one of the founders of the Daniel Pearl Foundation.  You may remember his son, Daniel- he was a Wall Street Journal reporter who was kidnapped and brutally murdered by Al Qaeda in Pakistan in early 2002.  After Daniel’s death, Peter found out that he was a fan of his music; this had a big effect on Peter, and he has been friends with the family ever since.

We’ve had some buzz about a guest on our show.  Angelo Santucci played piano with Michael McDermott and Heather Lynne Horton during their recent appearance on the Furious World.  We never got a chance to properly mention his own musical endeavors, so here goes!

Angelo is playing with a number of different acts in Chicago, mainly as a side or session player.  Besides Michael McDermott, he also plays with the band Orphans Club. <– Check out the link to hear some of his music; it’s a great accoustic-rock group that you might enjoy!

Angelo was kind enough to email us about his experience on the show:

It was great hanging with you guys.  I sincerely wish you guys all the best with the show.  It seems like a lot of fun to work on.  They’re certainly fun to watch.  I’ve introduced some friends and family to it, and they’ve really liked it as well.

Tomorrow night, we’re pleased to present one of our favorite episodes of the Furious World.  Sandra Tsing Loh was a great guest- you may have heard her on your local NPR station; she’s also a critically acclaimed author and performer.  Come check out her unique perspective on marriage, and hear Peter ask what may go down as the most “ridiculously probing question” in the history of the show.

Former guest IV (Ingrid Vanderveldt) and her sister Erin through their new foundation- The Vanderveldt Sisters Foundation, in collaboration with Whole Planet Foundation (Whole Foods Foundation) and a group of supporters are organizing “Game Changes 4 Haiti”, an online fundraising campaign utilizing givezooks.com, a social fundraising for nonprofits site.  100% of the funds raised at Game Changers for Haiti will go towards the rebuilding efforts by providing microlending funds to the women of Haiti. Entrepreneur-superstar-skydiver Ingrid Vanderveldt was a recent guest on our show, but was also in our studio audience when Dr. Judea Pearl was our special guest.  She had this to say about her experiences:

I had heard of Peter Himmelman from one of my producers, Lyn Graft (LG Pictures).  He had seen Peter and SXSW and told me “you HAVE to meet this guy.  He is extraordinary and I know you two are going to TOTALLY hit it off.”.  When Lyn says anything like that?  I listen

Shortly thereafter, I had the chance to meet Peter and yes- he is extraordinary and so is his crew.  I can’t even remember the first meeting!- It feels like I have been friends for life- but in reality, I am sure its been less than a year.  Peter has that ability- to just make everyone he is around- feel like the most important person in the room.

In any case- I have to admit- that meeting Peter and watching his show live for the first time, was a life changing experience for me.  I realize this sounds dramatic- but I would love to share with you why.

Yet- here I was, sitting with this incredibly loving man, who was on Peter’s show as a fan (Peter was one of Daniel’s favorite musicians) and to promote Daniel Pearl World Music Days.  Since its founding in 2002- DPWMD’s has grown to over 4,900 performers in over 100 countries.  He was also there to talk about the life and legacy of his son.

In that moment- of watching Judea and Peter interact- I realized that here are two people who are both changing the world for good who had been connected through the tragedy of losing Daniel.  I realized that from that day forward- that as an entrepreneur and who encourages other people to also follow their passion creating a life and a living doing what they love- that NO ONE had an excuse NOT to make their dream happen.  That if, in Judea’s case- he could create an event that had grown to a global movement in the Daniel Pearl World Music Days out of the horrific tragedy of his son’s death- that NONE OF US have ANY excuse NOT to do what it is we believe in.

That experience also reiterated my belief on how one person, with a clear vision, can change the world for good.

So when it was my turn to go on Furious World- I just really sat in TOTAL appreciation of all these people who have come together to create this show that is loved by so many and inspires us all.  I loved being able to talk about, and answer questions about making entrepreneurial dreams happen (especially the super creative ones!)- because at the end of the day- ANYTHING is possible…and as Judea Pearl continues to show us- its possible to create world peace and joy even out of the most trying of circumstances.

For all this- I will always be grateful and feel deep love to Peter and the crew for creating such a wonderful show and bringing all of us together- in peace and love.  So with that- GO MAKE YOUR DREAM HAPPEN.  You owe it to yourself and to the world to let your light and your talent shine.  We want to see it and in that- I can’t wait to see you too!- on Furious World
